Pool Type: Concrete Tiled Exercise Pool

Design Brief: Contemporary finish with special pool functionality – exercise.

The end user for this project had a number of unique requirements which formed part of the design process. 

Water Technics had to design the concrete tiled pool to accommodate all these requirements. Such as making the pool deeper than usual, maximizing the space within granted pool hall building. The clients also required a low chlorine water treatment system (specifically a salt chlorinator) and extra energy efficiency.

For this project where athethics were especially important, the end user actually designed their own Ezzari Glass Mosaic Blend. These matched the specialist design features within the pool hall and rest of the new build property. Water Technics supplied and installed all tiles withing the pool hall with the exception of the Feature Marble Panels. We installed those but they were sourced by others.

We overcame issues with ground water due to the time of year and extra depth of the pool. The end result is a beautifully unique indoor swimming pool.

As part of the contract Water Technics supplied and installed all of the Ductwork and Air Handling. In addition we also supplied an installed a renewable heating system to provide Heat duty to the calorex Variheat III. The 16kw ASHP and buffer vessel was installed by one of our renewable heating partners.
